FUT Esports took down Karmine Corp 2-1 on Thursday to extend their perfect record to 4-0 in VCT EMEA Stage 1 Group Alpha. The Turkish roster is now the only unbeaten team in their group and has all but locked first place heading into the final week.
KC Fight Back on Haven, Then Fall Apart
KC actually started strong. On their map pick, Haven, Karmine Corp’s dos9 put together a monster performance on Omen, and the French org took the opener 13-9. For a team sitting at 0-3 heading in, it looked like a spark.
It didn’t last.
FUT responded on Lotus with a cleaner attacking half, taking it 13-10. The decider on Bind was never competitive. FUT dismantled KC’s setup piece by piece and closed it out 13-8, turning what started as a rocky series into a comfortable win.
From Kickoff Flop to Unbeaten in VCT EMEA
Context matters. FUT finished 11th-12th at EMEA Kickoff in January, going winless and exiting early. What followed was a full rebuild. Long-time head coach Gais, with the org since 2021, was replaced by Vlad from ULF Esports. s0pp came in as the new Duelist. sociablEE arrived from NaVi on the eve of Stage 1 to fill the flex spot. qRaxs, MrFaliN, baha, and AtaKaptan were all moved to the bench or reserve.
The rebuilt five of s0pp, xeus, yetujey, KROSTALY, and sociablEE have clicked immediately. Their group-stage run reads: Gentle Mates (2-1), NaVi (2-1), Team Liquid (2-0), and now Karmine Corp (2-1). The Liquid result in Week 3, a clean sweep of one of EMEA’s strongest rosters, was the statement. This Karmine Corp win just confirmed the trajectory.
One Win From the Top Seed
FUT’s final match is against Team Heretics on April 29. A win seals first place in Group Alpha, which comes with a direct bye to the Upper Bracket Semifinals in playoffs. That is a massive structural advantage in a bracket where one bad series ends your tournament.
Team Liquid sit behind at 3-1 after their own Week 4 win, meaning FUT control their destiny entirely. Even a loss to Heretics would likely leave them second in the group on differential.
KC’s Season Is Effectively Over
For Karmine Corp, the loss drops them to 0-4 with only one match remaining against NaVi on April 30. The roster of SUYGETSU, dos9, LewN, Avez, and N4RRATE has not gelled, and the early integration problems have snowballed into a winless stage. KC are staring at their worst VCT showing since joining the partnership league.
What FUT’s Run Means for Masters London
FUT Esports and Fnatic were the first two teams to clinch playoff spots in EMEA Stage 1, both going undefeated through groups. The stakes from here are clear: three Masters London slots are on the line in the playoff bracket starting May 7.
For a Turkish org that was written off after Kickoff, the revival has been FUT Esports’ best undefeated run in VCT EMEA history. Vlad’s coaching overhaul, sociablEE’s veteran presence, and the mechanical firepower across the roster have turned this team into one nobody wants to face in Berlin. One match left. One seed to lock.
