NAVI got the worst possible bracket draw. They face Vitality in today’s IEM Atlanta 2026 quarterfinal, and the numbers say this one is over before it starts.

Vitality have swept NAVI in all three meetings this year: 2-0 at IEM Rio, 3-0 at BLAST Open Rotterdam, 3-0 at BLAST Rivals. Zero maps dropped across eight maps played. At BLAST Rivals, NAVI went up 11-0 on Nuke and lost the map in overtime. If that doesn’t tell you where this matchup stands, nothing will.

Both teams earned their way into this collision through the wrong side of the bracket. Vitality fell to BetBoom in Group A’s upper bracket, then blitzed FaZe and B8 in lowers without breaking a sweat. NAVI lost to Legacy in the Group B upper final and forfeited the semifinal bye that would have kept them away from the No. 1 team in the world.

Vitality are chasing their sixth consecutive title. IEM Krakรณw, PGL Cluj-Napoca, BLAST Open Rotterdam, IEM Rio, BLAST Rivals Spring. Five trophies, no signs of slowing down. apEX and ZywOo have turned 2026 into a procession, and the rest of the scene is playing for second place.

paiN vs GamerLegion, BetBoom and Legacy Wait in Semis

The other quarterfinal is paiN vs GamerLegion. GL are the hottest team in the building right now. Snax‘s squad went 2-0 over Liquid and 2-0 over Astralis in the lower bracket, with hypex dominating CT sides on both series. paiN will need biguzera at his IEM Rio level to survive.

BetBoom and Legacy sit in the semifinals with first-round byes. BetBoom beat both Vitality and paiN in groups. Legacy took down NAVI. Semifinals on Friday, Bo5 grand final Saturday.

$295K for the Winner, Grand Slam VII on the Line

The $1,000,000 total prize pool pays $295,000 to the champion ($125K player share, $170K club share). Atlanta is the first stop in the ESL Grand Slam VII cycle. Vitality won the last two Grand Slams back to back, a first in CS history. The IEM Cologne Major starts June 2, so this is the final rehearsal.

NAVI need a map off Vitality. One map. Anything to prove the Major won’t be another coronation. Aleksib knows this. His team has the talent with makazze, iM, w0nderful, and b1t on the roster.
