Brollan and Jimpphat are out. jL is in on loan from NAVI. xelex gets promoted from the academy. xertioN takes the IGL role. MOUZ blew up their lineup on April 18, and the timing, right before the IEM Cologne Major, is the loudest part of the story.

The German org posted the announcement on X on April 18. Effective immediately. No soft landing, no “mutual parting” language. Brollan and Jimpphat, the two players who lifted the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 trophy, are on the bench. Brollan will leave the organisation entirely after the Cologne Major, according to multiple sources. His replacement has not been named.

How the MOUZ Roster Changes for 2026 Actually Break Down

MOUZ will run two different starting fives across the next three events. That is not a flex. That is a Valve rulebook problem.

PGL Astana 2026 (May 7-17) and CS Asia Championships in Shanghai:

  • xelex
  • Spinx
  • torzsi
  • xertioN (IGL)
  • jL (on loan from NAVI)

IEM Cologne Major 2026:

  • xelex
  • Spinx
  • torzsi
  • xertioN (IGL)
  • Brollan

Valve’s Major Supplemental Rulebook locks teams into the lineup listed on the invite VRS from April 6. One substitution permitted. MOUZ burned that slot to bring Brollan back for Cologne, which is why jL, despite being a signed player, cannot debut at the Major. Brollan returns to the server, but not as IGL. xertioN keeps the calling duties at the Major too. That detail matters.

The jL MOUZ Loan From NAVI Is the Headline Move

A loan deal at this level is rare. Top-tier CS teams do not usually share players, and NAVI releasing one of their core riflers for a direct competitor’s Asian swing says something about both sides’ current priorities. jL covers PGL Astana and CS Asia Championships only. No guaranteed extension beyond that.

jL slots into his natural role: lurker on T-side, rotator on CT. It is the same profile NAVI built around him during his 2024 run, which ended with a 5th-place HLTV year-end ranking and the Closer of the Year award. MOUZ needed firepower immediately. NAVI had jL available. The window matches up. Post-Major, the loan ends and MOUZ are back to hunting for a permanent fifth.

xertioN as New IGL Is the Riskiest Call in the Overhaul

This is where the rebuild either works or collapses. xertioN has been MOUZ’s explosive entry fragger since August 2023. HLTV ranked him 16th best player of 2025 and 14th of 2024. Now he is calling mid-round, reading economies, and running the T-side structure that has hemorrhaged rounds through 2026.

Entry fragger to IGL is a transition with a thin success rate in modern CS2. MOUZ are betting the tactical identity of the team on it. xelex slides into xertioN’s old entry slot, meaning the 17-year-old Hungarian inherits one of the most punishing roles in the game on debut. xelex posted a 1.21 average rating across 154 maps in 2026 in MOUZ NXT, good for top 15 of HLTV’s Prospects series last month.

Head coach sycrone addressed the decision on X, and the statement read like a concession. He called the call on Brollan “not fair to him on a personal level” and said results in a team environment are always multifactorial. Translation: the locker room knew this was coming, and nobody felt great about it.

Why MOUZ Pulled the Trigger Now

The 2026 collapse has been sharp and measurable. MOUZ reached at least the semi-finals at 13 of 15 events between early 2025 and early 2026. Then: 13th-16th at BLAST Open Rotterdam, 5th at ESL Pro League Season 23, 5th-6th at IEM Rio 2026. Three events outside the top four. From title contender to outside-the-top-eight conversation in roughly two months.

Brollan’s IGL experiment took the blame internally. The Swede stepped into the calling role after siuhy was benched in early 2025, and the early returns were historic. The collapse, when it came, was attributed to mid-round decision-making and T-side win rates. Moving him off the calling duties and then off the roster entirely is MOUZ signaling that the problem was structural, not form-based.

What Happens to Jimpphat

Jimpphat, 21, is now the most valuable asset on the transfer market. Two consecutive top-20 HLTV finishes. Elite rifler, cold-blooded, developed entirely inside MOUZ’s own system. He is effectively a free agent.

SPUNJ said on HLTV Confirmed back in December 2025 that Jimpphat’s exit was the player’s decision, not the org’s. Jimpphat denied it at the time. The denial aged badly. Early social media speculation floated a hypothetical Finnish duo pairing with Aleksib at Falcons, but that scenario never had real legs: sources tell FragWire that karrigan is the incoming Falcons IGL, closing that door entirely. G2 and FaZe both have roster questions. New projects building around the Cologne cycle cannot be ruled out. No destination is confirmed.

Jimpphat on the open market is the biggest domino left in this transfer window. Expect movement fast.

The Stakes for Cologne and After

PGL Astana is xertioN’s trial by fire as IGL. Shanghai follows. Then MOUZ walk into Cologne with a Frankenstein lineup: a new caller running a system for the first time on LAN, a 17-year-old debutant in the entry slot, and Brollan playing a role he does not want, for an org he is leaving two weeks later.

The Cologne Major closes the current era of MOUZ. Brollan walks. jL’s loan expires. The fifth seat opens. Whatever MOUZ look like in the second half of 2026 starts being built the moment that Major ends.
