Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov is a free agent. The former Gambit and Cloud9 IGL confirmed his departure from orgless squad TDK on May 6, leaving one of the CIS region’s most experienced callers available on the open market heading into the summer transfer window.
TDK peaked at #44 in the VRS earlier this year but have since slipped to #58, and nafany’s exit accelerates a collapse that started weeks ago. Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko left for BetBoom on April 9, forcing TDK to plug Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov into the lineup as a stand-in. The remaining core of Ax1Le, Xant3r, sugaR, and coach groove now faces CCT 2026 Europe Series 1 with a 1-1 record in the Swiss stage and no IGL.
What nafany Brings to a New Team
nafany’s resume reads better than his current VRS address suggests. He led Gambit to the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 semifinal, where his squad finished 3rd-4th after a 0:2 loss to NaVi in a CIS derby that many expected to be the unofficial grand final. That Gambit roster, built around sh1ro, Ax1Le, interz, and HObbit with groove coaching, held the HLTV #1 ranking for 14 weeks across 2021. nafany captained the same core through the transition to Cloud9 and continued competing at the highest level until the organization’s exit from CS2.
At 110 maps with TDK and a 1.11 Rating 3.0, he proved he can still compete individually even in a Tier-2 environment running on fumes and personal savings. In an April interview with HLTV, nafany described TDK’s financial situation bluntly, saying the team operated at a loss with players still contracted to their former organizations.
The BC.Game Question
Online speculation has linked nafany to BC.Game, where former teammates s1mple and electroNic are rebuilding after benching MUTiRiS and aragornN in mid-April. The org brought in Senzu on loan from The MongolZ and moved analyst ScrunK into the IGL seat for IEM Atlanta and CS Asia Championships, while the CEO teases a permanent IGL signing from a Tier-1 team after the Major. Sources tell FragWire that a nafany move to BC.Game remains unlikely. The roster communicates in English with a Portuguese-Ukrainian-Mongolian mix, and nafany’s English proficiency has been a known limitation throughout his career. Dropping a Russian-speaking IGL into a squad that has already reshuffled comms twice in four months is a recipe for another reset, not a fix.
Where nafany Fits
The realistic landing spots are CIS-based. BetBoom already picked up zorte but their IGL picture remains unclear. SPARTA recently reunited the old Entropiq 2021 core with El1an at the helm, though that project targets the top 30 over the next year. A return to an org-backed CIS stack, or a fresh mix with free agents from the post-AMKAL diaspora, looks like the most probable path.
nafany is one of a handful of CIS IGLs who has called at a Major semifinal. That credential alone keeps him relevant in a region where the IGL talent pool runs shallow. Whether a team with real backing and international ambitions picks him up depends on one variable: how fast he can get his English to a competitive level.
For TDK, the math is grim. An orgless roster that lost its IGL and its AWPer within a month, still competing in online qualifiers with borrowed players and expiring contracts, has run out of runway.
